Can the Town Force Me to Sell My Land?
My piece of Heaven is not for sale.
My wife and I have an old pioneer stone cabin 160 miles from our home. When traveling back and forth I pass and area with pinyon pine and juniper covered hill that I thought would be nice to own is I ever could afford it.
Well last year I saw a fore sale sign, on that property. I couldn’t believe the price. I had to sell quite a few things to come up with the down payment. This new property is about 100 miles away for our home.
Well, my wife and I bought the 153 acres last year, about 4 miles south of a small town in Utah. The land is a 160 acre piece with a highway running across it so the area remaining is the 153 acres I bought and pay taxes on. There is an unpaved county road that also runs across the property as well as a fenced off area in which the small town receives its drinking water from springs. I don’t have any water rights with the property
